As a young girl Erlijn dedicated her life to figure skating. To complement her technique on the ice, she practiced ballet and dance. As she kept getting injured, she had to quit skating. After her recovery she auditioned for the university of Dance and Music, where she studied for six years. While she was always pushing her self to perform better, she kept getting injured. One of her teachers advised her to start practicing yoga. She never experienced a type of movement like that before. The combination between asana, breath and mindfulness gave her a huge sense of liberation, peace and acceptance of physical boundaries. She started practicing Asana regularly, but as the years passed she started to get more engaged with the yogic lifestyle. She followed the 200 hrs YTTC in India and has been moving around ever since, teaching in India, Holland and Cambodia.
